Course Requirements : Take the provided pretest, read the PDF book “Sailing to Your Success” by Marge Knoth, take the provided post test and complete the self-reflection worksheet.

You may email, mail or fax your complete course materials to DH Special Services. Once the materials are received and a passing grade of 70 is determined, a scanned copy of your certificate will be e-mailed with a hard copy mailed to you.
Course Content: This text is no longer in print and a PDF version of the reading will be provided. This is an older book and some information may be considered “dated” however most of the advice in the reading is timeless and remains relevant today. The author’s writing style reads like a conversation with a good friend who is an experienced activity professional with a bit of “chicken soup for the soul” interjected. The reading and the worksheet will guide the activity professional through key points that are necessary for the successful career activity professional. Through the reading and self reflection, the student will be able to validate current skills, develop new skills and overcome the daily struggles of being an activity professional.
