Course Requirements: Take the provided pretest; read the PDF Document “Developing and Managing a Nursing Home Volunteer Program” by Vicki Parsons and take the provided post test.

This course is sent via Google Classroom link.  You will need to provide an email which will accept a Google drive link.  This course cannot be mailed via USPS.

You may mail or fax your materials to DH Special Services. Once the materials are received and a passing grade of 70 is determined, your certificate will be mailed to you. If you are in need of the certificate sooner, a copy can be faxed to you and the original mailed.

Course Content: This course will introduce the steps to creating an effective and successful volunteer program within long term care settings. The program will assist the participant in recruiting and managing volunteers as well as specific means to motivate and train volunteers.
