NCCAP has recently amended and merged the MEPAP I and II courses into one course. This course is available via live zoom classes and will be available as an independent study, on demand program, starting January 1st, 2026. Successful completion of this one course will provide the student with Activity Director Certified (ADC).
You can enroll in the independent study, on demand MEPAP complete course via the NCCAP website. Enrollment is being accepted at this time, with class access available January 1st, 2026. NCCAP is offering a $150 discount for those registering this month.

The MEPAP course taken through DH Special Services remains approved and includes certification but is the longer – two part version of the course.
If you are seeking information about MEPAP II – it is important to note that NCCAP has amended the curriculum to a shorter course, called MEPAP Bridge. This amended course is available via live class room via zoom at this time. The on demand MEPAP Bridge is scheduled to be introduced early 2026.
DH Special Services continues to offer MEPAP II independent study at this time, until the NCCAP Bridge course in introduced. The MEPAP class is defined as a qualifying credential to be an activity director in many state regulations. The MEPAP-ADC or Part II includes the cost of Activity Director Certified and the national exam through NCCAP. Upon successful completion of the national exam, the student will receive ADC from NCCAP. The cost of certification and national exam are included in the cost of the course.
Self Guided Independent Study: This course is open enrollment. You can start it at any time and you work at your own pace. Course materials are provided one lesson at a time. Course materials can be sent via Google Drive, Google Classroom or mailed via USPS. A suggested weekly schedule is provided but it is up to the student to define their own pace. Short videos explain the assignments and guide the students through a suggested weekly schedule. Instructor support is available as needed. Individual Zoom meetings can be scheduled by request. The student has one year to complete the course.
PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE
MEPAP II requires a practicum, to be completed in conjunction with the course. The practicum site can be the facility in which the student is employed. The practicum assignments are a combination of written assignments, practical application of group and 1-1 techniques, and implementation of professional tasks. Practicum assignments are completed at an approved site and under the guidance of a practicum supervisor. All practicum assignments are designed to be useful and helpful in the participants future as an activity leader and manager.
