Course Requirements : Take the provided pretest; read the book Validation – the Feil Method” by Naomi Feil and take the provided post test.
You may mail or fax your materials to DH Special Services. Once the materials are received and a passing grade of 70 is determined, a scanned copy of your certificate will be e-mailed to you with a hard copy mailed.
Course Content:This program focuses on the Validation approach developed by Naomi Feil. The text introduces the concept of Validation Therapy as well as an introductory review of cognitive loss and means to understand the changes that occur. Program content focuses on the physical, emotional and social factors leading to confusion and how to help the confused person during each stage, as it progresses.
