Dementia Basics is approved for 3 continuing education hours.
Dementia Basics materials are available online via a google classroom.
All materials will be accessible on the google classroom and you can download them to your device.
Once you submit your final test course materials via email, fax or USPS, your certificate is e-mailed to you with hard copy mailed.
Course Content: The program will provide a clinical overview of Dementia, symptoms, initial treatment strategies and non-pharmacological approaches.
Course Objectives:
Participants will recognize how disease progression impacts engagement, communication ability, sensory processing, and group participation.
Participants will differentiate dementia from delirium and depression, recognizing how each can impact upon programming and participation.
Participant will integrate knowledge of dementia types and risk factors into individualized activity assessments.
