Course Requirements : Take the provided pretest, read the book “Reality Activities” by Richelle Cunninghis and take the provided post test . You may mail or fax your materials to DH Special Services. Once the materials are received and a passing grade is determined, your certificate will be mailed to you. If you are in need of the certificate sooner, a copy can be faxed to you and the original mailed.
Course Content: The reading of the text “Reality Activities” will introduce the activity professional to the concept of task breakdown as it relates to day to day activities for elders with cognitive loss. This program will define specific strategies and approaches that are effective on a 1-1 and group setting.
