We offer the Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals, also known as the MEPAP. Both courses follow the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals curriculum and guidelines, and include  national certification through NCCAP.  The MEPAP-APC or Part I includes Activity Professional Certification (APC) through NCCAP.  This means when you complete all the requirements for MEPAP I, you will also be nationally certified as Activity Professional Certified (APC).  The MEPAP class is defined as a qualifying credential to be an activity director in many state regulations.  The MEPAP-ADC or Part II includes the cost of Activity Director Certified and the national exam through NCCAP.  Upon completion of MEPAP II, the student submits an experience letter which will make the student eligible to take the national exam.  Upon successful completion of the national exam, the student will receive ADC from NCCAP.

Self Guided Independent Study: This course is open enrollment.  You can start it at any time and you work at your own pace. Course materials are provided one lesson at a time.  Course materials can be sent via Google Drive, Google Classroom or mailed via USPS.  A suggested weekly schedule is provided but it is up to the student to define their own pace. Short videos explain the assignments and guide the students through a suggested weekly schedule.   Instructor support is available as needed.  Individual Zoom meetings can be scheduled by request. The student has one year to complete the course.

PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE

All MEPAP classes (both classroom and independent study) require a 90 hour practicum, to be completed in conjunction with the course. The practicum assignments are a combination of written assignments, practical application of group and 1-1 techniques, and implementation of professional tasks. Practicum assignments are completed at an approved site and under the guidance of a practicum supervisor. All practicum assignments are designed to be useful and helpful in the participants future as an activity leader and manager.
