We offer the Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals Part I & II, also known as the MEPAP. Both courses follow the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals curriculum and guidelines, and are applicable toward national certification through NCCAP.  The MEPAP class is defined as a qualifying credential to be an activity director in many state regulations.

We offer the course in two versions…
– Traditional Classroom Setting in NJ
– Independent Study
Get the details on both versions below.

PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE

All MEPAP classes (both classroom and independent study) require a 90 hour practicum, to be completed in conjunction with the course. The practicum assignments are a combination of written assignments, practical application of group and 1-1 techniques, and implementation of professional tasks. Practicum assignments are completed at an approved site and under the guidance of a practicum supervisor. All practicum assignments are designed to be useful and helpful in the participants future as an activity leader and manager.

The National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) is one of the Certifying Bodies recognized by Federal law, and incorporated in many state regulations. NCCAP is the Gold Standard when it comes to certifying activity professionals who work with the elderly in nursing homes, assisted living communities and adult day centers.
