Director of Recreation Needed
We are working with a very nice Nursing Home located in Rockland County, NY that is looking for a Director of Recreation to join their team.
The Recreation Director is responsible for providing an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the physical, social, educational, and spiritual needs of every resident, as per the current federal and state guidelines and regulations.
The Recreation Director will be expected to plan, coordinate, develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that is appropriate for all levels of abilities and participation, and ensures that each resident has an individualized plan of care that outlines current participation.
Additionally, the Recreation Director is responsible for hiring and supervising all recreation staff/volunteers and ensuring that they are trained appropriately and given equipment, supplies and resources necessary for the programs’ success.
Candidates for this position need to be energetic, organized, dynamic, and creative; with at least 2 years’ experience as a Director of Recreation in an LTC setting.
The salary for this position is in the 70-80k range, depending on experience and qualifications, and a full benefits package.
