Assistant Director of Activities
This position is for Health Care Center of Bloomingdale in Passaic County. Position is to assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, developing & directing the overall operation of the Activities Department to comply with current federal, state and local standards and regulations. Participate in planning, development and implementation of resident assessments and interdisciplinary care plans. Assist director in creating ongoing program of activities that meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial needs of each resident.
High School Diploma; MEPAP course completion a plus;
Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a social or recreation program within the last five (5) years, one (1) of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
Must possess knowledge of MDS 3.0 and creating resident care plans.
Must have experience working with Dementia clientele.
