Brandywine Senior Living, a premier provider of quality senior living, is currently seeking an Activities Director  to join our team in Moorestown, NJ which is in Burlingtou County. . Our vision is to provide our residents with the highest quality care in the most appropriate setting based on an individual's needs while respecting their individuality, independence and dignity. Job Description The Activities Director will direct and organize the resident programming function of the community including planning and coordinating life-enriching programs for residents and the community, developing community contacts/working relationships with colleges, universities, social organizations, churches, etc. with the objective of establishing volunteer opportunities and joint leisure, recreation, social, cultural and spiritual programs. Additional responsibilities include developing a monthly schedule of events and the coordination of a successful volunteer program to create a vibrant, active and social environment for our residents.
  • Develops, maintains and coordinates a monthly program of events and programs
  • Establishes and maintains on-going contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations and other useful resources for program development.
  • Recruits, plans and manages volunteer opportunities for the community
  • Manages, trains and develops staff and volunteers
  • Makes marketing presentations for community outreach efforts
  • Coordinates events with local organizations for joint program efforts
  • Works with marketing to assist in planning of community/resident events
  • Plans and coordinates various resident clubs and committees in the community
  • Manages relationships with healthcare affiliations on wellness/fitness programs
  • Coordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyle

  • College degree strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in event planning, community outreach, activity/program development preferred.
  • Must possess leadership skills, strong verbal and written, presentation, communications skills and ability to effectively deal with people at different organizational levels both inside and outside the company.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
